An Argentinian party was held at the KSOP GGPoker Premium in Rio de Janeiro from Saturday to Sunday (06) early morning. Nicolás Yamil Mohamadam took part in an insane no-break deepstack tournament and won his first national title of his career. The title was won after an agreement was reached in a three-man tournament.
With a buy-in of R$1,500 and a field of 95 players, Nicolás won the championship worth R$16,000. He completed contracts with Brazilians William Bezerra and Valdo Varadao. Both were rewarded with R$12,000 and walked away with beautiful trophies in their laps. Mohamadam also celebrated the fact that he came to this wonderful city.
» It’s my first KSOP title and I’m very happy. Rio has always fascinated me, I’ve loved it since I was a kid, so there’s no doubt I’m enjoying poker even more. I’m very happy,» he said. Nicolás said that he has been playing poker for 12 years and is currently focusing more on cash games.
For the final table, the champ made a short comment: «Not much action because it’s very ‘Turbo’, 11 or 12 blinds on average, maybe even less, so variance tends to matter ’” concludes Mohamadam.
